Travel & Stay
Lodging Recommendations
Saugatuck and Douglas are home to many beautiful lodging experiences, majority of the places to stay are Bed & Breakfast, Motels and Vacation Rentals (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.)
We recommend booking as soon as possible, as the Saugatuck area books up extremely quick, especially as it will be the opening for the Summer season.
If you know others coming to the wedding, finding a vacation rental is a great experience and many are close to the downtown area and our venue.
Please email/text Steff or John with any questions!
Vacation Rentals
We love using Mill Pond Realty for vacation rentals in the area.
Please see their listings below.

Our favorite food & drink.
-
Pennyroyal Cafe & Provisions
Local farm to table approach. Featuring Western Michigan Farms. We love going here for Brunch and Lunch.
-
The Southerner
Exactly as it is titled. The fried chicken is the show, but everything on the menu is an amazing representation of traditional southern flavors.
-
Bowdie's Chophouse
Our favorite cozy, rustic steakhouse. With amazing atmosphere, cocktails, wine and prime steaks. You can’t go wrong, but gets very busy in summer season.
-
Isabel's Market + Eatery
We love stopping here on the way into town, for locally curated grab and go groceries and ready to eat foods.
Thing to do & see.
-
Oval Beach
Saugatuck is known as one of the world’s best beach towns. With miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, the Saugatuck/Douglas is home to over 6 pristine beaches.
-
Trails & Water Excurisions
There are many trails to explore in the area, the main park to see is Saugatuck Dunes State Park. Or if you’re up for an adventure with a steep climb up and down Mt. Baldhead and be rewarded with a panoramic view of Lake Michigan.
Our favorite thing to do is to explore all the Kalamazoo River and Lake Michigan have to offer; such as The Star of Saugatuck or renting a retro boat/sailing boat.
-
Art
Walking through the main downtown of Saugatuck, you will find dozens of galleries from working painters, sculptors, ceramicists, and other artists . This is know as “the art coast of Michigan” for a reason!
